Casino API testing checklist explained
Casino API testing should verify financial outcomes and failure recovery, not just whether a game opens. Use the supplier sandbox and contracted API rules to test identity, availability, transactions, reversals and reconciliation before launch.

Define the test contract
Record the supplier specification version, test accounts, selected games, reporting timezone and acceptance owner. For each case, capture the starting ledger state, request identifier, expected response, expected final balance and matching report entry. Use synthetic players and sandbox funds; keep credentials and launch tokens out of shared evidence.
Session and availability tests
Verify eligible and ineligible game launch, expired sessions, unsupported game packages, return navigation and simultaneous sessions where permitted. Test unavailable suppliers and withdrawn games. Confirm that the platform explains an unavailable session without presenting a broken launch as a successful wager.
Money-movement tests
Cover a successful debit, a successful credit, insufficient balance, zero-value events when supported and amounts at the documented precision boundaries. Check both the financial entry and the returned balance. Validate amounts using the API’s exact representation and currency rules rather than assuming all currencies have the same decimal convention.
Retry and ordering tests
Simulate a response lost after a transaction commits, then repeat the request using the same reference. Confirm a single financial effect. Repeat tests across concurrent callbacks, out-of-order messages and delayed supplier events. If the supplier protocol disallows an order, verify the documented rejection and recovery procedure.
Reversal and settlement tests
Exercise the supported cancellation, reversal and correction flows. Confirm that each correction references the intended original event and that repeated corrections do not create unintended money movement. For sportsbook evaluation, add stale prices, bet acceptance uncertainty, voids and resettlement using the official sportsbook rules.
Reporting and release evidence
Reconcile operator ledger totals against supplier reports over the same interval. Record each unexplained difference as an unresolved case, with an owner and a reproducible reference. Release approval should depend on the agreed acceptance criteria, an incident runbook and demonstrated financial recovery; a working game demo alone is insufficient.
